The 3M SDR Connector solution utilizes the same reliable ribbon contact system and polarized steel shell interface in a condensed .8 mm package without sacrificing transmission performance. The assemblies have been developed to address the multitude of options now available with the introduction of mini Camera Link® (mini CL). In addition, 3M has added two new features to our standard Camera Link® assembly offering. The first is an over-mold, right angle configuration that provides a low profile, thumbscrew interface. The right angle option reduces the assembly profile by over four inches when compared to traditional straight exit backshell options. The second new feature is our extender assembly that is used for adding length to the existing cables or providing a means for transition through a bulkhead/mid-span requirement. The extender cables feature over-mold MDR receptacles.
